Cilicon is an up-and-coming brand in the cannabis and vape industry. They offer products that focus on vaporization technology for THC. Cilicon produces various weed pens, cartridges, batteries, disposables, and pod systems for cannabis oils and THC distillates.
The company supplies OEM products and services for oil distributors. Today I am testing out one of their latest weed pens called the Vision, a pod-style disposable vape with a fully visible liquid window. It also features Bio Baleen technology, which is designed to reduce spitback. The product will not be directly available to consumers, but retailers will be able to customize its design and fill it with their own distillates and oils.

Build quality and design
Weighing in at just 19 grams, the Vision is very lightweight. It's lighter than most cartridge and battery combos. The one I received is all white, with a matching mouthpiece and the Cilicon logo on the front near the LED. The device stands at 106 mm tall, 19 mm long, and 8.1 mm thick.
It has some cool features going on for a simple vape pen. The Vision features Bio Baleen technology, which is a spitback guard based on the anatomy of a whale. It also features a ceramic heating system called Matrex technology. Lastly, the Vision utilizes a V-shaped tank that guides each last drop of oil towards the coil for maximum efficiency.
The Vision adopts a modern flat vape pen design. One of its most notable features is its visible liquid window. It's very easy to see how much oil you have left with this tank. It's not tinted or concealed, so there is no guesswork involved. The device holds one full gram of cannabis oil.
The build quality is decent for a disposable. It feels pretty rugged despite being lightweight. There are no buttons—it's draw-activated. There is a breathing LED light when you puff on it. The Vision puts out around 8 watts and the tank utilizes an integrated 1.5-ohm ceramic heating coil.
Getting started
The Vision is going to be sold with the oil from various distributors, so you won't ever need to fill it. They sent me a few empty ones to fill up myself, but that was just for the purposes of this review. I was able to get two syringes of distillate, so I filled it up with those. Once the mouthpiece is installed, the Vision is locked and loaded. Just like the CCELL Listo I tested a while back. This feature makes it tamper-proof and child-proof, which is good stuff.
All you need to do is inhale. The puff sensor seems to be pretty responsive, no issues with that. The draw is on the tight side, so it feels a lot like hitting a joint. Last but not least, the micro-USB charge port is located on the bottom next to a very small LED indicator light. Overall, it's a very well-designed disposable vape pen with a big window for maximum liquid visibility.
Performance
I've been testing the Vision with two different oils. The most noticeable thing is the flavor. I am tasting all of the notes from this sour diesel strain. The flavor is better than what you get with a lot of the other disposable cartridges. I plan to try it out with some other strains, but so far the flavor is on point. Just as good, if not better than some of the leading THC oil vapes I've tested.
The vapor production is pretty standard, nothing too crazy. It only puts out around 8 watts on a 1.5-ohm coil, so I wouldn't expect huge clouds anyway. It puts out a nice dense cloud and has a tight draw that feels like hitting a joint, which I think I think a lot of smokers would appreciate. The hits are a bit on the cool side, but it still packs a punch even with the low wattage output.
I haven't experienced any issues. No burnt hits, leaking, flooding, or spitback. I've only been using it for a week, so I will be sure to mention if anything goes wrong in the following days. But so far, so good. This anti-spitback BioBaleen Module is not explained in-depth on their product page (outside of the fact that it’s inspired by whales!) but it seems to be working just fine.
So overall, the performance is what I would have hoped for. There is no room for do-overs when you are working with oil. Cannabis extracts are not cheap, so it's important to get it right the first time. I still plan to test a few of them for quality control, but so far, no complaints with these two. I can feel as I am writing this now that the Vision did a good job at delivering the THC to my brain.
Battery life and charging
I haven't been able to run the battery out yet for this review, so I can't tell you how long it takes to charge it yet. It takes me a long time to run through a gram of distillate. But its 280 mAh battery should get you through at least half, if not most of a tank on a fully charged battery.
Fortunately, the device is rechargeable. So, it's more of a backup in case the device happens to arrive uncharged. I think rechargeable disposables should be a standard by now. It's brilliant. However, I wish it was Type-C. I feel like micro-USB is a bit outdated—but better than nothing.

Verdict
The Vision is an all-in-one disposable oil vape that looks just like a regular nicotine vape. It feels very natural to use. It’s just like hitting a joint. There’s no prerequisite knowledge required. The flavor is just as good if not a little bit better than most of the oil vapes I've tested so far. It only packs 280 mAh, but it’s a rechargeable disposable so it’s hard to really complain about that.
It seems like Cilicon's products are right up there in terms of quality. They are doing something right because everything went smoothly with both devices that I tested. What I would like to see is more Type-C compatibility with oil vapes in the future—and maybe even ones with adjustable airflow. But as far as OEM disposables go, the Vision with its stylish design and rechargeable battery seems to be one step ahead of its competition.
