One week down, three to go. The Right To Vape Tour turned east after a week of stops along the Pacific coast from southern California to Seattle. Each event brought out enthusiastic vapers who left vowing to spread the word and help get others involved.
The Right To Vape coalition — the American Vaping Association, CASAA, and SFATA — is holding a series of rallies, press conferences, and town hall meetings. The goal is to convince Congress to end the FDA's war on vaping, by changing the 2007 predicate date in the recently enacted deeming regulations.
The Cole-Bishop amendment that currently is part of the House Agriculture Appropriations Bill would change the predicate date in the regulations from 2007 to August 8 of this year. That would allow all current products to remain on the market after the 2018 deadline for submitting costly premarket tobacco applications.
Can't make the tour? Watch the videos!
The first leg of the tour covered Las Vegas, southern and northern California, Oregon, Washington and Boise, Idaho. The team released the first installment of a video documentary about the tour, featuring film from some of the events and interviews with the principals, as well as vapers and other vaping advocates.
And part two came out today.
